Their reply was "If they bother you, go play single game mode". I do know what some of those websites say when you ask them why they create game-ruining bots (my friend sent them an email once). I doubt anybody will ask him, but I'm just throwing it out there. Just what exactly is Blizzard's stance regarding the spambots and spamsites in Diablo 2? They sure are easy to ban a user using a simple map-hack which does nothing to disturb other players, yet spambots that seem to join a game by the dozens, heavily disrupting gameplay, ruining a fun game for thousands of gamers, roam free." The amount of spam is honest to god absurd, yet blizzard never did anything about it, with each ladder actually becoming more and more spam-infested than ever before. I don't know if any of the Blizzard staff still plays D2 on bnet or not, but they should. "In World of Warcraft, advertising websites is illegal, and the player is banned, as well as the website possibly being sued or closed if they violate the ToS by a large degree. I would like Bashiok to answer this question:
While we talk about spambots, I just have to ask a favor of whoever is in charge with asking Bashiok those Bnet/Diablo questions. In fact, hadn't I remembered using that box before, the bots alone would be reason enough for me to never touch D2 again. I'm not sure how big the difference you can set it, but it would honestly save myself and I figure a LOT of others a whole load of stress and annoyance. Please use the "level difference" box when creating a public game. You know, that spark I had for you was never fully extinguished. Earlier today I joined a game, where in 3 minutes after joining, I had my screen filled with pure spam five times, and I lost track of the amount of bots that joined in. Okay, its not literally taken, in fact, the text is usually even LONGER. But now, I get bots that join, usually in pairs at that, that say If they just have 2 lines that say "Hey, check out our site! Its at !" or something, I could cope.
From what I counted there are around 7 to 8 sites using spambots. but I know that after every ladder reset, a new spambot is introduced with a new site.
Now, I havent had much 1.13 experience ever since I quit due to the horrible disappointment of the patch upgrade. Either hiding certain items or making other ones pop out more with a notification or different color, this makes picking up and identifying loot much easier on the player. In 1.10 there were a couple, 1.11 had its share, and 1.12 was downright borderline *****fit (is this allowed to be said?). Introduction Loot filters are simple text like files that anybody can create that diablo maphacks use to filter loot drop nameplates. Now, we all know that spambots are bad on public games. So, after a 1 year break from the game (more or less), I decided to play a little D2 again.
